Highlights from American Music Awards 2009

This year's AMA 2009 is star studded with a lot of divas in da house!! Here are some of my favourites from the show:

Opening with a performance by Janet Jackson singing all her greatest hits including her new single, “Make Me,” the tone was set to remind the audience that unlike the Grammys, this award show was all about the fans. The big winner of the night was Taylor Swift, who grabbed five AMAs including Artist of the Year – a category which Michael Jackson was also nominated for.

Jennifer Lopez take a fall during her song. Comeback performances featured Rihanna and the one and only Whitney Houston. Lady Gaga proved she can still maintain shock factor while sounding great and Adam Lambert attempted to prove himself to the world.

The night included some great duets such as Jay-Z with Alicia Keys, Eminem with 50 Cent, and Timbaland with So Shy.

I just finished my project with the French Haute Couture of Make-Up, the prestigious By TERRY cosmetics.

Terry de Gunzburg is the creator behind the genius Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. As you are reading now, 1 piece of YSL Ra Touche Eclat is being sold around the world, yes thats right, the gold pen from YSL! She is none other than the mastermind behind that and 14 years of consulting for YSL Beaute.

I was engaged to be their consultant to their VIP customers, providing one-to-one consultation. It was a down-to-earth experience dealing with real people with real features for once! haha...Anyways here are some of my favourite By TERRY products:

NINA RICCI F/W'09

The shoes stole the show at Nina Ricci, where Olivier Theyskens put on what will most likely be his swan song. The towering platforms with itty-bitty heels protruding from behind to help the models keep their balance as they teetered down the long runway made some of the girls look so tall and narrow they could’ve been on stilts. For the record, Antonio Berardi did a similar shoe for Spring 2008, but not in such daredevil proportions, and definitely not in hot pink glitter. What do you think of these babies? If they hit the stores, even in a modified version, would you wear them off-runway?

Botani - Oz based Skin Care

I have to really rave about these range of natural products from Australia : BOTANI.

I am fortunate to get a lot of products from all the leading brands but recently BOTANI gave me some products which I must say I am really impressed.

I always have ingrown hair problem whenever I shave but this Anti-Fungal Skin Cream really save the day! It smells extremely pleasant, has a nice olive scent and is not oily! It settles nicely onto the skin and feels velvety matt!




The next item I like is the Facial Mist! I was instructed to apply the Skin Serum before spraying the mist to set the serum. The serum is not oily at all and it gives the skin a healthy glow and doesnt clog the pores! The mist smells really light and it acts like a toner as well!





Lastly one of my most favourite star product from BOTANI is their Rescue Cream! This green color paste kills 99% of germs upon contact with skin. I been using it for my blackheads and the occasional acne and it indeed works! And the best thing is it doesnt make your skin greasy and make it feel matt after application!

Brighten Up!!

I am a huge huge fan of masks....you name it, i have so many different brands of masks in my fridge.

I am a firm believer that we should pamper our skin with masks EVERYDAY!! Yes, daily treatment to quench our skin's thirst! And especially for skin which are prone to breakouts or after breakout marks, masking everyday is an effective way to reduce the pigment in those marks.

Here are 2 of my favourite brightening masks....literally you skin will feel brighter and clearer after each use. Tried and tested.

Peter Thomas Mask


-Squeeze out a few pumps and massage it over your skin. You may feel an "itching" sensation but it is normal as the oxygen is diffusing onto your skin. Massage it for around a minute and then let it rest for 15mins before rinsing it off.


Clinique Derma White Brightening Mask


-Apply all over face and neck. Leave on for 10mins and then rinse off.
